Harrogate 2008
The Chartered Institute of Housing’s Annual Conference and Exhibition was held in Harrogate on 17 – 19 June 2008. It is the largest housing event in the UK and Europe’s largest housing exhibition and focuses on the provision of affordable housing and the development of sustainable communities. It was opened with a video welcome by Gordon Brown and saw many key note speakers, including the Minister for Housing Caroline Flint, address key issues in the housing and regeneration sector.
The three day event housed 6,500 delegates and 400 exhibitors under one roof. We are pleased to announce that we attended the event as exhibitors, which provided an opportunity to meet key housing professionals including existing clients and new people alike; and Top Gear’s very own Stig!
As exhibitors, Croftons had a stand at the event, which included a chance to win a Nintendo Wii. We are very pleased to announce that Carrie Monroe of South Northants Homes was the lucky winner. The event will be held again next year on 16 – 18 June 2009, and we hope to see you there.
